Launching New Project ASPYRE EUROPE

We are proud to announce the launch of our latest initiative, ASPYRE EUROPE, an expansion of the highly successful ASPYRE project, which was implemented in Romania from 2022-2023. The launch event will take place on Wednesday, 11 September 2024, from 15:00 to 17:00 at the Centrul pentru Tineret, Strada Iuliu Maniu nr. 1, Cluj-Napoca.

We invite you to join us in celebrating the launch of ASPYRE EUROPE – Actions Supporting the Participation of Youth through Relevant Education in Europe. At this event, participants from the original ASPYRE project, including youth, educators, and decision-makers, will share their experiences and insights, offering a glimpse into their hopes and expectations for the new initiative. ASPYRE EUROPE is dedicated to empowering more young people to actively engage in democratic processes and public debate, shaping the future of their communities.

Why Attend?

Youth participation in democratic processes remains alarmingly low, with young people often underrepresented and disillusioned by the lack of trust in political institutions. One of the main challenges to Romanian democracy is participation, particularly in terms of voter turnout, in which it ranks among the bottom 25% of countries in the world (IDEA 2023: Romania). ASPYRE EUROPE addresses this gap by partnering with teachers and youth workers in Romania, Italy, and Bosnia and Herzegovina to implement a series of activities designed to educate, equip, and empower youth. Over the next two years, the project will create platforms for young people to have their voices heard, engage meaningfully, and contribute positively to society.
